‘As expectativas são as melhores possíveis para essa final contra o Fortaleza. O grupo todo está muito focado para essa partida, que nós possamos manter nosso padrão de jogo e fazer um belo espetáculo dentro de campo para conquistar esse título’, disse o lateral-direito Thassio Marques.

Além da final da Copa do Nordeste, a equipe Sub-20 do Náutico também está na decisão do Campeonato Pernambucano da categoria. Thassio ressalta a importância de poder conquistar o título nas duas competições e mostrar serviço para quem sabe subir ao time principal no ano que vem.

Manchester City are reportedly set to launch a bid to sign Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes this summer.

• WHAT HAPPENED?

  According to , Pep Guardiola is eager to recruit a top midfielder to partner Spaniard maestro Rodri for the foreseeable future. The report goes on to state there is a growing list of options being considered by the club – with Aston Villa's Douglas Luiz and Bayern Munich ace Joshua Kimmich also being monitored.

  However, the rumoured top target for City is Brazil international Guimaraes, after it was claimed the Newcastle man is "above all" others in the transfer shortlist for this summer.

  WHAT GUARDIOLA SAID

  Speaking on the talents of the Newcastle midfielder, City boss Guardiola was quick to praise the Brazilian. "Exceptional holding midfielder," he said in a press conference on Friday. "Aggressive, with the ball he pauses, in the games he is aggressive. Now Newcastle wants to grow and I am quite sure that it will form part of its project for the next few years."

  The 26-year-old midfielder put pen-to-paper on a new deal at St James' Park in October 2023, which will aim to keep him at the club until 2028.

  Despite the fresh deal, Guimaraes reportedly has a release clause, which exceeds the value of £100million ($127m), in his new contract. That may open the door for City to pursue the player, if they are willing to pay the premium price. They haven't shied away from hefty price tags in the past.

  WHAT NEXT FOR GUIMAREAS?

  The midfielder's concentration will not be on his future currently. With an increased fixture list due to their involvement in the Champions League earlier in the season, Newcastle's performances have slipped in the Premier League and they currently find themselves in tenth place.

  Away from league action, Guimaraes will have an opportunity to showcase his talents to City this weekend, as the Magpies face Guardiola's side in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Mauricio Pochettino sent a warning to Mykhailo Mudryk after seeing the Chelsea star score a sublime solo goal off the bench against Newcastle.

• WHAT HAPPENED?

  Chelsea got back to winning ways in the Premier League on Monday as they narrowly edged out Newcastle United 3-2 at Stamford Bridge courtesy of goals from Nicholas Jackson, Cole Palmer and 'super sub' Mudryk. The Ukrainian attacker scored the team's winning goal just five minutes after he came on as a substitute for Raheem Sterling.

  After the match, manager Pochettino praised the youngster for scoring an excellent goal but also warned him that he needs to further improve if he wants to win a place in the Blues' starting lineup.

The momentum swung in their favor and then, with just seconds to spare, their superstars came together to secure a second away goal. Luis Suarez was found by Sergio Busquets and the Uruguayan sensation nodded home to make it 2-2.

O Grêmio reencontrou o caminho das vitórias. Em jogo crucial em relação à pontuação na parte inferior da tabela, o Imortal derrotou o Botafogo por 3 a 1 nesta quarta-feira, na Arena, pela 16ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro. O Imortal superou um segundo tempo praticamente inteiro com um a menos, já que Diego Souza foi expulso. O próprio camisa 29 e Pepê, duas vezes, fizeram os gols dos mandantes. Matheus Babi descontou para o Alvinegro.

A equipe gaúcha subiu para a 10ª posição e, com 20 pontos, abriu 5 pontos de vantagem para o Bahia, primeiro time na zona de rebaixamento. O Botafogo, por sua vez, estagnou em 18 pontos, está na 14ª colocação – Bahia, primeiro time no Z4, tem 15.

O Grêmio volta aos gramados no próximo sábado. O Imortal viaja para enfrentar o São Paulo no Morumbi às 21h. O próximo compromisso do Botafogo será na segunda-feira, contra o Goiás, às 20h, no Estádio Nilton Santos. Os dois duelos são válidos pela 17ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro.

COMEÇO DE ESTILOS DIFERENTES
​Como de praxe, o Grêmio buscou chegar ao ataque a partir de toques curtos e rápidos. Com Matheus Henrique e Maicon na base da jogada, o Imortal chegava à área sem dificuldade, mas encarava uma quantidade considerável de jogadores do Botafogo dentro da área para defender.

O Alvinegro, por sua vez, pressionava alto e tentava criar jogadas de perigo a partir de erros do Tricolor. Quando recuperava a posse, o jogo era acelerado e o principal alvo era Pedro Raul. O camisa 9, inclusive, teve uma chance de marcar, mas um cruzamento de Matheus Babi em direção ao atacante foi forte.

LEI DO EX!
O volume de jogo do Grêmio, aos poucos, ficou mais intenso.​A equipe de Renato Portaluppi controlou as ações a partir da segunda metade da etapa inicial. Com toques na entrada da área, a marcação do Botafogo ficava confusa. Foi justamente assim que o Imortal abriu o placar: após cruzamento de Robinho na direita, Alisson cabeceou no flanco oposto e Diego Souza, sozinho, teve apenas o trabalho de empurrar para as redes.

BABI AO RESGATE!
A equipe de Bruno Lazaroni não vivia bom momento na partida. O gol do Grêmio dava sinais que o Imortal continuaria no ataque. O Botafogo, contudo, chegou ao empate: em falta cobrada por Victor Luís, Pedro Raul desviou e Matheus Babi esticou a perna para marcar. Nos minutos finais, o Alvinegro até tentou assustar novamente jogadas de bola parada, mas a primeira etapa terminou em igualdade.

DIEGO SOUZA: DO CÉU AO INFERNO
​O Grêmio voltou para o segundo tempo com tudo. Sem tempo a perder, a equipe de Renato Portaluppi dominou a posse de bola por praticamente dois minutos ininterruptos até Diego Souza receber na área, fazer um pivô na marcação e rolar para Pepê, na esquerda, finalizar para o fundo das redes.

O camisa 29, contudo, foi protagonista em um lado negativo minutos depois. Essencial nos dois gols do Grêmio, Diego Souza deu um chute em Guilherme Santos após estar caído. Após revisão no VAR, o árbitro Luiz Flávio de Oliveira expulsou o atacante.

UM A MENOS? CHAMA O PEPÊ!
Com a superioridade numérica, o Botafogo foi ao ataque. A equipe de Bruno Lazaroni saiu visando o campo ofensivo. O Grêmio, com um a menos, baixou as linhas e fechou a área.

Ter um homem a menos não foi um porém para o Grêmio. Em um dos avanços do Imortal após a expulsão de Diego Souza, a equipe de Renato fez uma jogada de almanaque. De pé em pé, o Tricolor colocou o Botafogo na roda até que Pepê saiu cara a cara com Cavalieri e, com um toquinho, fez mais um.

أكد محمد مصيلحي رئيس نادي الاتحاد السكندري، على وجود عرضين لضم اللاعب الأنجولي مابولولو، مشيرًا إلى أنه لم يحدث أي اتفاق. 

وقال محمد مصيلحي في تصريحات عبر قناة “إم بي سي 2” عن سعر مابولولو الآن: “اليوم شاهدت أشخاص كثيرة تقول انفرادات وتقول إن اللاعب ذهب للخضوع لاختبار طبي في أحد الأندية القطرية، وهذا لم يحدث، بالتأكيد هناك أندية تتحدث عنه من قطر والسعودية، ولكن اللاعب سافر إلى إثيوبيا لأن عنده مباراتين مع منتخب بلده يومي 7 و11”.

وأفاد: “هناك عرضان من الدوري القطري لضم اللاعب، لكن لم يحدث أي اتفاق”.

While the England camp insist he has recovered from a cut finger that compromised his effectiveness in Brisbane, they feel he failed to gain sufficient bowling ahead of the Test series due to a side strain that limited his involvement in the warm-up matches. Partially as a result, he has been comprehensively out-bowled by Nathan Lyon in the series to date. Moeen has taken two wickets at a cost of 98 apiece from 63 overs; Lyon has taken 11 at a cost of 22.72 from 109.1 overs.The variation in performance between Moeen and Lyon has been one of the key differences in the series to date. While Australia have been able to rest and rotate their seamers to maintain an attacking edge to their game (Lyon has conceded just 2.29 runs per over and taken a wicket every 59.50 balls), Moeen has failed to pose much threat (he has taken a wicket every 189 deliveries) or control the run-rate as much as England would have liked (he is conceding 3.11 runs per over). England hope he will gain some rhythm and confidence form the two-day match with both the coach, Trevor Bayliss, and the captain, Joe Root, suggesting he will retain his place for the Perth Test.Moeen will be joined in the side by the five members of the England squad who did not feature in Adelaide (Gary Ballance, Ben Foakes, Mason Crane, Jake Ball and Tom Curran) while six members of the England Lions squad (Ben Duckett, Keaton Jennings, Dan Lawrence, Jack Leach, Liam Livingstone and Mark Wood), who are now based in Perth at a training camp, have also been included to make-up the rest of the team.
