O técnico Levir Culpi não tem quatro titulares do Santos para encarar o Vasco, neste domingo, às 16h, no Estádio Nilton Santos, pela 14ª rodada do Campeonato Brasileiro e precisará contar especialmente com um de seus comandados para cumprir uma missão bem específica: chegar à quarta vitória seguida, uma marca inédita nesta temporada, e derrubar um tabu que já dura 12 anos.

Sem vencer o Cruz-Maltino no Rio de Janeiro de 2005, o Peixe tem como principal arma o atacante Kayke e não só pelo fato do camisa 11 ser o titular mais uma vez no comando de ataque.

Enquanto não conta com Nilmar e Ricardo Oliveira, que aprimoram a forma física, Levir sabe que o centroavante que tem nove gols na temporada marcou seis fora de casa.

Celtic have been dealt a triple injury blow before their clash at home to Dundee United in the Premiership on Sunday afternoon.

The Lowdown: Injury crisis

Ange Postecoglou is facing a bit of an injury crisis at the moment, with Giorgos Giakoumakis, Callum McGregor, Greg Taylor, Christopher Jullien, Mikey Johnston and James Forrest all on the sidelines at the moment (The Scottish Sun).

The Parkhead side are currently lingering in sixth spot in the table, and the plethora of injuries certainly have not helped in that regard.

The Latest: Three confirmed out

Speaking in his pre-game press conference ahead of the match against Dundee United, Postecoglou has now confirmed (via The Scottish Sun) that Kyogo Furuhashi, as well as both McGregor and Johnston, will miss out through injury, on top of those already on the sidelines

The Hoops boss revealed:

“With Cal next Thursday is being optimistic.

“With Kyogo, I doubt we will see him this side of the international window but he is pushing hard.

“Unfortunately, Mikey Johnston picked up a niggle on Wednesday so he will be out and I’m not sure when he will be back.

“To cut a long story short, we won’t get anybody back for Sunday.”

The Verdict: Blow

It certainly is a blow to lose Furuhashi along with McGregor and Johnston among the long list of absentees.

The Japan international has scored no fewer than seven goals and supplied one assist in nine appearances over all competitions so far this season (injury-ravaged Johnston offers another attacking option.

Nonetheless, Postecoglou is under pressure to pick up results fast, and he will need to start doing so today without a number of his key players.

Para a partida contra o Vitória, nesta quarta-feira, o jogador voltou a ficar fora da lista de relacionados. Em entrevista à Rádio Gaúcha, o presidente Romildo Bolzan indicou que o jogador pode passar por uma cirurgia no final do ano.

– Um dos procedimentos possíveis é uma cirurgia. Mas tem que ter uma recomendação médica para isso. É possível também levar o jogador até o final da temporada e depois organizar uma intervenção cirúrgica. Mas o problema dele é de púbis, que precisa ser resolvido – declarou o mandatário.

Em 2014, o meia Giuliano viveu a mesma situação. Com um problema no púbis, a solução para sua melhora foi uma cirurgia no final da temporada. O meia acabou perdendo os primeiros jogos da temporada seguinte, por conta de sua recuperação, mas logo voltou a ficar à disposição de Roger Machado.

Bolaños vem de uma sequência de desfalques. No final de abril, o jogador sofreu uma lesão no adutor da coxa direita durante a partida contra o Guaraní (PAR), pela Libertadores, e ficou dois meses em recuperação.

Seu retorno foi no dia 1 de julho, no duelo contra o Palmeiras, pelo Campeonato Brasileiro, porém, sua atuação não foi das melhores. Após seu retorno, entrou em campo por alguns minutos contra o Godoy Cruz, pela Libertadores, e Avaí, no Brasileirão. Mas, o problema no púbis voltou a aparecer, tirando o jogador de campo.

Além de Bolaños, o volante Michel, que se recupera de uma virose, e o atacante Luan, preservado por conta de desgaste físico, também ficam de fora do confronto com o Vitória na noite desta quarta-feira.

Opening up on the difficulty, he says that the struggle to learn English is a hard one but he will do everything to adapt to life in the English capital.

“Spanish was different, a little more like Portuguese, you could get a bit of a sense of what people wanted to tell you,” he admitted.

“Not here, if you don’t know, it’s hard to understand, because you have no idea what people are telling you. The first few days were very complicated because I didn’t understand anything at all.”

“Today I can understand a lot, I can communicate, not 100%, far from it, but now I can communicate more with people, I understand more things. Now I’m going to study more too, it’ll be easier. So I think that language is now a problem, a difficulty, but in a short period of time I’ll work it out fine.”

Some Premier League stars often go years without fluently learning the language, and in the age of translators, there are plenty of ways around the struggles to learn English.

However, adapting to the new culture by learning the language will certainly help Emerson settle into London life and allow him to feel more comfortable in his new surroundings.

Amid all the reported dressing room unrest, the starlet becoming settled as soon as possible is arguably important as Nuno seeks to nurture a happy camp at Spurs once again.

– Tivemos jogadores trocados por cartão e também por cansaço, como foi o caso de Samuel Xavier. Eu disse que o time estava mais fresco. Nosso time fez um bom jogo, com velocidade, mudança de direção e marcação, sem medo de ser feliz. O Sport estava há 28 anos sem ganhar aqui. Os tabus existem, mas estão aí para serem quebrados.
