Neil Lennon has had the fortune of being handed two Southampton players on loan this campaign, goalkeeper Fraser Forster and the aforementioned Norwegian winger.

Elyounoussi hasn’t featured as much as he’d probably have liked, recording just 20 appearances for a total of 1,309 minutes, but the 25-year-old has still managed to find the net seven times whilst also providing six assists, per Transfermarkt.

However, despite his contribution, he has split opinion amongst the Celtic Park faithful – some are rating him close to a 10/10, although others have him closer to around the three and four mark.

The winger still has three years to run on his current Saints contract and would love to win silverware north of the border before returning to stake a claim, as per an interview in The Sun.

Loads of Aston Villa fans have been reflecting on the week’s Championship action, and they already think Kortney Hause was a wasted signing.

Hause was one of five January signings for Dean Smith, but of those five only Tyrone Mings has left a positive impression so far.

Hause joined on loan from Wolves for the remainder of the season, and the 23 year-old’s versatility will have appealed to Smith and the club.

Hause, like Mings, can play centre back or left back, and was chosen on the flank for Wednesday’s clash against Brentford.

Smith’s side were utterly dominated though, as the Bees had more of the ball, created more chances and defended better, eventually grabbing their deserved winner through a late Neal Maupay strike.

While no one in a Villa shirt covered themselves in glory, Hause was particularly poor, completing just 62 per cent of his passes.

The youngster’s lack of ability on the ball is a huge problem when playing as a full-back rather than through the middle, and fans are bashing the signing.

وعن إذا ما كان ميسي يستطيع تقديم مستوى جيد مع كومان بعد قرار البقاء في برشلونة: “سيكون من الغباء الشك في ولاء ميسي لهذا النادي، إنه أفضل لاعب رأيته وسأراه في حياتي، لا يمكن الشك في إمكانياته الفنية، اعتقد أنه سينفجر في الموسم الجديد”.

وانتقال مهاجم أتلتيك بلباو للحديث عن فاتي بعد تألقه مع منتخب إسبانيا، وقال: “يتمتع أنسو بثقة غير عادية في المباريات، يجعلك تتفاجأ في كل مرة يشارك بها مع برشلونة أو المنتخب”.

Portsmouth secured passage to the Checkatrade Trophy final, to be held at Wembley Stadium on March 31st, with a convincing 3-0 win over Bury on Tuesday night.

Kenny Jackett’s side were superior throughout and produced a scintillating second half performance to secure the victory. Second half strikes from Gareth Evans, Oliver Hawkins and Ronan Curtis clinched victory for Pompey.

The south coast club are currently enduring a poor run of form in League One, having drawn their last five league games in a row. Jackett will be hoping that this cup triumph will give his side the boost of confidence they need in order to get back on track in the league and compete for the automatic promotion spots.

However, some Portsmouth fans are less than excited about the approaching cup final. Many supporters have been boycotting the competition due to the involvement of Premier League clubs’ under-23s sides.

وكان جودين قد انتقل إلى إنتر ميلان في صيف عام 2019، بعدما رحل عن أتلتيكو مدريد عقب انتهاء عقده مع الفريق الإسباني.

ولكن اقترب الأوروجوياني من الانتقال إلى صفوف كالياري المنافس في بطولة الدوري الإيطالي، ومن المفترض الإعلان عن الصفقة في الساعات القادمة.

وكتب جودين رسالة وداع لجماهير إنتر ميلان على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي “تويتر”:

“شكرًا جزيلًا لجميع أفراد عائلة النيراتزوري على المودة والاحترام الذي تلقيتهما خلال الموسم الماضي، لقد كان موسمًا غير طبيعي بسبب الوضع الذي عشناه مع فيروس كورونا، لكن على الرغم من ذلك قدمنا أداءً مميزًا”.

وتابع: “أعدنا الفريق إلى القمة مرة أخرى، كافحنا من أجل تحقيق إنجازات مهمة كما يستحقا هذا النادي الكبير، لن أنسى هذه الجماهير الرائعة، لأنهم من يجعلون هذا النادي دائمًا مميزًا، وبالطبع زملائي”.

وأتم: “أحب توجيه الشكر لجميع العاملين المتواجدين في النادي والذين تعاملوا معي على مدار العام الماضي، وكانت الابتسامة ترتسم على وجوههم، أتمنى للجميع الأفضل”.

أكد ربيع ياسين المدير الفني لمنتخب مصر للشباب، أن فريقي الأهلي والزمالك يجب أن يتعاقدا مع مدربين كبار، مشددًا على أن الثنائي رينيه فايلر وباتريس كارتيرون (قليلا الأصل).

وكان رينيه فايلر قد أبلغ مسؤولي الأهلي بالرحيل مطلع شهر أكتوبر المقبل مستغلًا بندًا في تعاقده مع القلعة الحمراء، وذلك بعد أيام من رحيل كارتيرون عن الزمالك.

وقال ربيع ياسين في تصريحات تلفزيونية ببرنامج “الماتش” عبر فضائية “صدى البلد”: “الأهلي والزمالك يجب أن يتعاقدا مع مدربين كبار بحجم مكانتهم”.

وأضاف: “أعجبت بموقف الزمالك عندما تعاقد مع مدرب كبير مثل باتشيكو خلال أسبوع بجهاز فني متكامل، ويجب أن تفعل إدارة الأهلي مثلهم”.

وأردف: “كارتيرون وفايلر هما الخاسران بخروجهما، فكارتيرون كان ميتًا منذ رحيله عن الأهلي”.

واختتم: “والأهلي هو من أضاف لـ فايلر وليس العكس، لكنه هو وكارتيرون (قليلي الأصل)”.

يُذكر أن الأهلي والزمالك ينتظرهم مواجهتين مهمتين أمام الوداد والرجاء المغربيان في نصف نهائي دوري أبطال افريقيا.

Loads of Newcastle fans have been reacting to their defeat at West Ham, and they’re extremely disappointed by fan favourite Florian Lejeune.

Newcastle look geared to make a similar run as they did last season, as the Magpies soared up the table in the second half of the last campaign after a really poor start.

Rafael Benitez’s side suffered from a similarly poor start this season, due mainly to some really tough opening fixtures, but have returned to form since Lejeune returned from a knee injury.

The towering French centre back, who joined the Tyneside outfit for a fee of around £8.7m in the summer of 2017, has been phenomenal since stepping back into the side, and had only lost twice in eight showings before Saturday’s trip to West Ham.

The Magpies were beaten all too easily in East London on Saturday evening though, as Declan Rice and Mark Noble gave the Hammers a 2-0 win.

Lejeune looked sluggish throughout, culminating in a really poor tackle on Javier Hernandez that gifted West Ham a penalty – Noble made no mistakes from the spot.

The 27 year-old has a lot of credit in the bank with the Toon Army, but the Twitter reactions down below do not make pretty reading…

In the recent 2-1 defeat to arch-rivals Brighton, Crystal Palace left-back Patrick van Aanholt turned in a performance of the lowest quality, which was summed up by his foolish decision to show Anthony Knockaert onto his strong foot for the Frenchman to score the winning goal.

A number of poor performances

The Dutch international’s poor showing against the Seagulls wasn’t the first bad performance of his this season. Van Aanholt’s defensive skills have been brought into question a number of times this season, and it seems like his ability to pop up with a few goals over the course of the campaign masks his frailties at the back.

He seems to get away with any real criticism as a result of his popularity at the club, coupled with the fact that Wilfried Zaha often plays ahead of him on the left-wing and consequently takes the weight off van Aanholt by occupying the opposition’s right-back and right-winger.

He should be dropped

One of the big debates that has often been on the lips of those inside Selhurst Park this season is how to accommodate summer signing Max Meyer into the starting lineup.

Roy Hodgson is a big fan of James McArthur and has been playing the Scotsman over the German, whilst Jeffrey Schlupp has been a consistent feature on the left of a midfield three, leaving Meyer stuck on the bench.

One way to solve this conundrum, and hopefully give van Aanholt the kick up the backside he needs, would be to drop Schlupp into a left-back role where he has played in the past, and bring Meyer into the Ghanaian’s vacated midfield spot.

Schlupp has impressed on the left hand side of defence in the past, where his pace, power and drive down the left flank is a useful outlet – he is also a much more solid and physical option defensively than the flimsy van Aanholt.
