أصدر الاتحاد الإسباني لكرة القدم بيانًا بشأن خوسيه لويس مونويرا مونتيرو، الحكم الذي أدار مباراة ريال مدريد وأوساسونا بالدوري الإسباني.

وأعقب هذه المباراة جدلاً واسعًا، بسبب طرد الحكم لجود بيلينجهام لاعب ريال مدريد لتلفظه بكلمة مسيئة، في حين أن اللاعب أوضح أن الترجمة كانت خاطئة.

وفتح الاتحاد الإسباني لكرة القدم تحقيقًا مع الحكم مونويرا مونتيرو بشأن أنشطته غير الرياضية، لبحث كونها غير متوافقة مع القانون التنظيمي، حال وجود مصالح ثانوية قد تتعارض مع أداء واجباته المهنية.

وأشارت صحيفة “آس” الإسبانية في تقرير لها بوقت سابق، إلى أن مونتيرو قد يتم إيقافه خمس سنوات حال أدانته التحقيقات (لمطالعة التفاصيل من هنا).

مونتيرو أسس شركة “تالينتوس سبورتس”، المتخصصة في الاستشارات والإدارة الرياضية، وقيل إن بين عملائها مؤسسات مثل رابطة الدوري الإسباني والاتحاد الإسباني وبعض الأندية مثل أتلتيكو مدريد ومانشستر سيتي وغيرها.

وبعد الاستماع إلى الحكم وتحليل كافة المعلومات، إدارة الامتثال بالاتحاد الاسباني لم تجد دليلاً على أنه خرق مدونة أخلاقيات الاتحاد، وبالتالي لن يكون هناك أي تعارض بين شركات مونويرا مونتيرو وممارسة التحكيم.

وجاء بيان الاتحاد الإسباني على النحو التالي: 

توصلت إدارة الامتثال التنظيمي في الاتحاد الإسباني لكرة القدم إلى عدم وجود تضارب في المصالح في الأنشطة التجارية للعضو خوسيه لويس مونويرا مونتيرو.

في 20 فبراير، اكتمل التحقيق الذي أجراه قسم الامتثال التنظيمي في الاتحاد الملكي الإسباني لكرة القدم، بعد نشر مزاعم عدم التوافق التي ارتكبها حكم الدرجة الأولى خوسيه لويس مونويرا مونتيرو.

في أعقاب نشر معلومات في وسائل الإعلام تشير إلى وجود تضارب محتمل في المصالح يؤثر على الحكم خوسيه لويس مونويرا مونتيرو، فتحت إدارة الامتثال التنظيمي في الاتحاد الإسباني لكرة القدم تحقيقًا في 18 فبراير.

خلال عملية جمع المعلومات، قام الاتحاد الإسباني لكرة القدم بالاطلاع على جميع المعلومات المودعة في السجل التجاري فيما يتعلق بالشركات التي يمتلك العضو حصة فيها أو يزعم أن لديه مصالح تتعارض مع عمله التحكيمي.

“في ضوء التحقيق الداخلي الذي أجري، خلصنا إلى أنه من الناحية القانونية والتنظيمية الداخلية، لا يوجد تضارب في المصالح – لا حقيقي ولا محتمل – ناتج عن العلاقة التجارية للسيد مونويرا مونتيرو مع الاتحاد الإسباني لكرة القدم.

وبناء على ذلك، ووفقا للوائح الداخلية المتعلقة بتضارب المصالح والممارسات الجيدة للاتحاد الإسباني لكرة القدم، لا يوجد سبب يبرر اتخاذ تدابير ضد السيد مونويرا مونتيرو.

The Whites face an important Championship assignment on Tuesday evening, making the trip to a Norwich side who are expected to be among the promotion hopefuls this season, along with Daniel Farke’s side. The Canaries are 10th in the table currently, but their form has improved of late, following three wins in their last four league games, so this could be a big challenge for Leeds.

The Whites’ task hasn’t been made any easier by the news that Ethan Ampadu is facing around 10 weeks on the sidelines after suffering a knee problem in last Saturday’s 3-0 win at home to Coventry City. On the plus side, the midfielder doesn’t require surgery, but he may not return to the pitch until the New Year.

Injuries can have the potential to derail any team’s season and that is threatening to be the case at Leeds all of a sudden, with another negative update emerging on Monday.

Leeds hit with another knee injury

According to Cross on X, Leeds will be without Max Wober against Norwich because of injury, with a six-week absence on the cards and surgery required, having not featured at all in the Championship yet this season. He will be the fifth player on the injury list alongside Amapdu, Dan James, Manor Solomon and Isaac Schmidt.

This arguably isn’t as big a blow as the Ampadu news because Wober hasn’t been such a fixture in the team this season – his absence also isn’t as lengthy – but it still acts as an undoubted setback, added to the fellow absentees mentioned by Cross, particularly James and Solomon.

The 26-year-old Austrian can still be a key figure, however, with former Leeds midfielder Carlton Palmer claiming as much during the summer, backing him to play a big role in his side’s promotion push after they retained his services.

“This decision makes perfect sense – I believe that Daniel Farke wasn’t too happy when Wober left the club on loan following relegation. He’s still only 26, he’s got three years left on his contract and he should be a Leeds United player for the foreseeable future. Ethan Ampadu is expected to return to a midfield role for the season ahead, so Wober could play a key part as Leeds look to get back to the Premier League, especially as Liam Cooper has departed after his contract ended.”

Hopefully, Wober can make a speedy return to the Leeds setup, at which point the busy autumn schedule will be in full swing, playing a part in helping Farke’s men rise further up the Championship table and eventually sealing automatic promotion.

If Ten Hag can make it past Brentford, the Dutchman believes he can save his United career, and the club’s season, in January with a marquee signing, according to reports from Spain. Sport.es report that Ten Hag has demanded that United sign Frenkie de Jong from FC Barcelona after the New Year, with the 54-year-old manager believing the former Ajax wonderkid to be the player that would finally glue his ever-changing side together.

According to the Spanish newspaper, De Jong, 27, is Ten Hag’s “dream” signing. The two worked together at Ajax between 2017 and 2019, with the midfielder the star player in the young team that won the Eredivisie and made it to the semifinals of the Champions League for the first time since the 1996/97 season.

De Jong, called an “extraordinary footballer” by Xavi, left Ajax for Barcelona at the end of the 2018/19 campaign and has been continually linked with a move to United ever since Ten Hag took charge in 2022.

Foden’s stats vs. Sparta Prague

It has been a curious season for the 2023/24 PFA Player of the Year winner. After a spellbinding campaign last term, in which he helped win another Premier League title, Foden has struggled to break into the starting lineup under Guardiola this term.

He has played nine games in all competitions, with two goals and two assists to his name so far. However, the City number 47 has just 494 minutes, equating to just 5.4 full 90-minute games in total, with injury and illness a contributing factor.

Against the reigning Czech champions, Foden impressed. His goal was a classic finish, dancing between a few defenders before drilling his shot low and hard into the bottom left corner. Outside of that, he was superb, a real creative force for the hosts in the final third.

His Sofascore stats also reflect a superb performance. The England international had 78 touches, completing 92% of his passes and creating two chances. He completed both of his attempted dribbles and won four of seven attempted duels.

Foden’s enterprising performance won him a 7/10 rating from Goal journalist Richard Martin. He explained that the City attacker is finally “approaching his best form” after an indifferent start to the season, and called him a “constant headache” for the opposition.

The 24-year-old starred on Wednesday night, but another of his City teammates, Savinho, arguably outshone him.

Savinho’s stats vs. Sparta Prague

Since joining the Premier League champions this summer, Brazilian winger Savinho has shone. He has four assists in 11 games and has shown – notably on Wednesday night – that he could even be City’s answer to talented Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal.

Not only are they both young, left-footed wingers, but the pair are similar statistically on FBref too. Amongst other stats, the City man averages 2.75 key passes per game and 10.5 progressive carries; comparatively, the Barcelona teenager averages 2.39 key passes and 5.57 progressive carries.

The wingers are two of the most exciting talents in world football, so for City to have a player so similar to Bracelona’s exciting young talent, both stylistically and statistically, is an exciting luxury for Guardiola.

Focussing on the performance against the Czech outfit, former Girona winger Savinho stood out for all the right reasons and received an 8/10 rating from Martin. The journalist was full of praise for the Brazil international, explaining that he “ran the visitors ragged”, praising him for the fact he was “destroying opponents” on the right wing.

The 20-year-old was spellbinding having created five key passes and two big chances, even managing to register an assist for Haaland’s first goal. He completed four of his eight attempted dribbles, and worked hard off the ball, winning six ground duels.

It was a wonderful performance from City’s answer to Yamal, Savinho last night. He will no doubt be hoping to continue this form as the Premier League champions look to push for titles in all competitions.
