بعث ميكيل أرتيتا مدرب آرسنال برسالة راقية إلى بيب جوارديولا بعد أن قال مدرب مانشستر سيتي إنه يريد إيذاء نفسه.
وظهر جوارديولا بجروح في وجهه بعد أن أهدر مانشستر سيتي تقدمه 3-0 في دوري أبطال أوروبا أمام فينورد ليلة الثلاثاء ليتعادل 3-3.
قال جوارديولا في مؤتمره الصحفي بعد المباراة حين سُئل عن الجروح في وجهه: “نعم، إنه إصبعي … بأظافري، أريد أن أؤذي نفسي”.
ويأتي ذلك بعد الضغط الذي يمر به جواديولا عقب ست مباريات بدون فوز، وأصر لاحقًا على أنه لم “يقصد الاستخفاف” بإيذاء نفسه.

أرتيتا دائمًا قريبًا من جوارديولا، وسبق وعمل مساعدًا له في مانشستر سيتي قبل توليه وظيفة تدريب آرسنال في عام 2019.
سُئل مدرب أرسنال يوم الجمعة عما إذا كان قلقًا بشأن جوارديولا فقال في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “مترو” البريطانية: “هذا شيء شخصي للغاية”.
وأضاف: “لكنني أشعر بقدر كبير من التعاطف مع زملائي، فأنا أعرف الوظيفة، وأعرف مدى قسوة هذه الصناعة وأعرف كيف يتم الحكم علينا بناءً على شيء واحد فقط وهو النتائج”.
وتابع: “أعرف مدى صعوبة الأمر لأنني شخصيًا مررت بهذا كثيرًا وكل هزيمة مؤلمة للغاية”.
وأتم: “فقط ضع بعض المنظور على الأمر كما نفعل دائمًا وامض قدمًا لأن هناك دائمًا مباراة أخرى”.

The question then comes as to just who will step up in place of 777. According to the Daily Mail, MSP Sports Capital and Merseyside based duo Andy Bell and Goerge Downing are the two potential buyers who could finally bail Everton out.
Everton, of course, already borrowed money from MSP Sports Capital to fund their new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium and could now take their investment to a whole new level. Bell and Downing, meanwhile, are reportedly ready to take a stake in the club by waiving the millions that is owed to them in loans.

One way or another, Everton need to see their takeover nightmare reach its conclusion with 777 Partners so that they can move on and put another plan together with either MSP or Bell and Downing. The 777 saga has dragged on long enough.
Out of the two fresh options, it is MSP, with former agent and baseball franchise owner Jeff Moorad at the head of the table, who have the most impressive credentials. Moorad currently has a stake in McLaren's F1 team, Danish club Brondby, German club Augsburg amd Portuguese side Estoril. Simply put, he has been there and done it.
Be it MSP or Bell and Downing, there's no doubt about the sheer size of the task at hand at Goodison Park. But in among the chaos, Dyche's work to keep the Toffees afloat in the Premier League should go a long way.
In desperate need of a fresh start off the pitch, Everton's new owners – whoever they may be – must invest in Dyche's squad to finally hand the manager the chance to progress things in Merseyside. He has more than proven that he is the man to take Everton forward.

Mauricio Pochettino departed Chelsea earlier this week after just one season at the club. The Argentine had a rough start to life back in the Premier League, with the Blues languishing in mid-table for much of the first half of 2023/24.
The west Londoners went on to end the campaign by losing just one of their last 14 outings, earning them a 6th-place finish and Conference League football. However, this was apparently not enough for Todd Boehly and co, as the South American has left and the search for his replacement has begun.
Chelsea have seen a number of names linked with Pochettino's old role. Last month, it was claimed that Chelsea were "monitoring" the status of Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim "should things not progress further with Pochettino in [the] summer". Elsewhere, Chelsea are said to have identified former Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Roberto De Zerbi as a candidate to take over at Stamford Bridge.
The potential appointment of Hansi Flick has also been “discussed internally” by those within the hierarchy at Stamford Bridge, though he now looks set to take up a position at FC Barcelona following Xavi's sacking.

Maresca has impressed during his time in England so far, leading the Foxes to the Championship title this past season. Speaking back in February, Leicester midfielder Harry Winks backed Maresca to go to the very top of the game.
“He’s incredible in every way,” said Winks. “He’s a manager who I think will certainly go to the very top. His understanding of football is something I’ve never witnessed before. I think his approachability and man-management is exceptional. I’ve really enjoyed working for him so much already and I’m still learning so much every day.
“When you go out on the pitch, you know exactly what to do and how the opposition are going to operate and what you can do to affect that. To do it so simply is the most important thing. That’s a thing a lot of managers probably struggle with – getting the message across, but the gaffer does it so well here.”
But unfortunately for Leicester, Maresca's ascent to the top may come sooner than they had hoped. This comes with The Sun reporting that while "there is no clear favourite" at this stage, Maresca has held talks with Chelsea and is thought to have been left "encouraged".
Regarding details of getting the Italian away from the Midlands outfit, he has a reported €10m (£8.5m) release clause in his Leicester contract, while it is thought he could get a longer deal than what was given to Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge.
