أعلن النادي الأهلي، عن تعافي لاعب الفريق الأول من الإصابة بنزلة برد حادة تعرض لها في الفترة الماضية، وأبعدته عن التدريبات.

ويستعد الأهلي في الوقت الحالي، لخوض بطولة كأس السوبر المصري، المقرر إقامتها في الإمارات من الفترة 20 حتى 24 من شهر أكتوبر الجاري.

ويلتقي الأهلي مع سيراميكا كليوباترا، يوم 20 أكتوبر في مواجهة دور نصف النهائي من بطولة كأس السوبر المصري.

وأوضح النادي الأهلي عبر الموقع الرسمي له، أن مدافع الفريق ياسر إبراهيم سيعود للتدريبات بعدما تماثل الشفاء من نزلة البرد الحادة التي أبعدته عن التدريب خلال اليومين الماضيين.

واطمأن أحمد جاب الله، طبيب الفريق على حالة اللاعب واستقرار درجة الحرارة بعد تناوله العلاج اللازم.

ومن المقرر أن يشارك ياسر إبراهيم في التدريبات غدًا أو بعد غد على أقصى تقدير، استعدادًا لبطولة السوبر المصري.

Last season, the SABC were given the rights without having to pay anything, after CSA failed to strike a deal with SuperSport despite repeated efforts

CSA has sold the broadcast rights for the second edition of the Mzansi Super League (MSL) to the SABC, South Africa’s insolvent free-to-air broadcaster. This is a change from last season when the SABC were gifted the rights without having to pay anything, after CSA failed to strike a deal with their regular broadcast partner, pay television operator SuperSport, despite repeated efforts.While SuperSport continue to hold the rights for all South African international and other domestic cricket, a spokesperson confirmed to ESPNcricinfo that they did not put in a bid for the MSL.Neither CSA nor the SABC were willing to divulge the amount the MSL rights were sold for but CSA called the agreement “more commercially viable” than last season, when CSA budgeted a loss of R40 million (US$2.6 million) for the inaugural edition of the MSL. Sources claim the actual figure was higher.”We can confirm that the deal with SABC was different from the first edition of MSL in that this year, it is more commercially viable for us. As the lifeblood for CSA, broadcast revenue remains key for us, and we are pleased for the SABC’s investment in our valued property and for the assistance in providing access to millions of cricket-loving South Africans who may otherwise not be able to enjoy the game,” Kugandrie Govender, CSA’s chief commercial officer, told ESPNcricinfo.The SABC will broadcast all 32 matches live on both television and radio, in prime-time slots from November 8 for five weeks. Fixtures will be played on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, starting at 5.30pm local time, Saturday afternoons will kick off at 12.30pm and there are double-headers every Sunday at 10am and 12pm local time. These timings are earlier than the usual 6pm starts and 2.30pm matches, with CSA explaining the changes are a result of market research.Securing the MSL is a major coup for the cash-strapped SABC, who have requested a R3.2 billion (US$ 289 million) government bailout and have been unable to broadcast other high-profile sports events. They only showed South Africa’s first two matches of the men’s World Cup 2019 live, required the sports minister’s intervention to strike a deal with SuperSport to put South Africa’s Premier Soccer League on air and they are also not broadcasting any of the ongoing Rugby World Cup. Having the exclusive rights to some sport, albeit it is a local event, is unusual for the broadcaster.Whether CSA can boast of the same benefit is unlikely. The organisation forecast losses of R654 million (US$42.8 million) for the four-year cycle 2018-2019 to 2022-2023, though the South African Cricketers’ Association puts that figure closer to R1 billion (US$ 65.6 million). The sale of the most recent MSL rights will reduce that amount “drastically” according to Govender, but CSA were unable to provide any concrete numbers. Doubtless, CSA’s financial situation will also depend on the outcome of their renegotiation of a rights package with SuperSport, whose six-year deal with CSA ends in April 2021.

So far, they have been strongly linked with the likes of Brentford's Ivan Toney and Sporting CP striker Victor Gyokores, as well as RB Leipzig marksman Benjamin Sesko and Brighton's latest young star Evan Ferguson. Now, however, a new name has been thrown into the mix as a serious option.

Edu hot on the trail of Haaland-esque talent

According to a report coming out of Italy, the Gunners are seriously chasing Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee after an impressive season in Serie A. As per Calcio Mercato, several Premier League clubs are interested in the Dutchman but it is Arsenal that are a "very hot" option as Edu looks to bolster the frontline.

The 6 foot 3 striker has shot to prominence this season in Serie A, grabbing ten goals and four assists in his 26 Italian top-flight appearances to date. His form is set to be rewarded with a call-up to the Dutch national team for the upcoming March internationals, where he could make his debut against either Scotland or Germany, and the attacker is making a late run for the EURO2024 squad.

He is also overperforming his expected goals for the campaign, suggesting that he is able to find the back of the net from positions that others (looking at you, Gabriel Jesus) may not be able to.

Zirkzee has long been touted as a future star, and was part of Bayern Munich's youth setup until 2022, when he completed his move to Bologna. There are clearly high hopes for him in the Netherlands, and Voetbal International reporter Souleyman Ozturk has even audaciously claimed that he is a better version of Manchester City star Erling Haaland.

"Zirkzee is better than Erling Haaland at everything. Now you may be dismayed because of this statement. But I will frame it. (Zirkzee) has vision, technique, strength, charisma, flair, footballing ability. He is therefore better than Haaland in almost everything", he told the media in 2022.

"Imagine if Zirkzee had the energy and focus of Haaland. Then he would be the best striker in the world."

In 2019, Bayern academy boss Jochen Sauer added that "he is a striker type that is no longer so common today: tall, athletic, but still technically strong". Still only 22-years-old, there is plenty of scope for Zirkzee to improve further in the years to come, and with the striker potentially a cheaper alternative to the likes of Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney, it may well be a deal worth doing for the Gunners.

طالب أحمد حسام ميدو، نجم الزمالك ومنتخب مصر السابق، إدارة ناديه بالتركيز على الناشئين وإعطائهم فرصة أكبر للمشاركة في الفريق الأول، مؤكداً أن النادي يمتلك مواهب شابة قادرة على قيادة الفريق في المستقبل.

جاءت تصريحات ميدو في أعقاب خسارة الزمالك لقب كأس السوبر المصري أمام الغريم التقليدي الأهلي بركلات الترجيح، في المباراة التي أقيمت على ملعب محمد بن زايد يوم 24 أكتوبر الماضي.

وكتب ميدو عبر حسابه الرسمي بمنصة “أكس”: “على الزمالك الاعتماد على أولاده، لا يمكن أبدا تلاقي لاعب في الدوري المصري بشخصية حسام عبد المجيد، لا يمكن أبدا تلاقي بره لاعب بشخصية محمد السيد”.

Postecoglou currently has Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson, Bryan Gil, Manor Solomon and Timo Werner in his squad, but reliable journalist Dan Kilpatrick recently claimed Solomon could go if Tottenham end up signing two wingers.

Uncertainty also surrounds the future of Gil at Spurs, meaning Postecoglou could well have more space freed up for the arrivals of some star options. Most recently, the Lilywhites have been named as suitors for Wolves winger Pedro Neto as one option.

The Portuguese, who's registered an impressive tally of league assists under Gary O'Neil, is just one of the big names who Tottenham have their eyes on ahead of the summer window,

"Pedro Neto is somebody on their radar," said journalist Dean Jones to GiveMeSport recently.

"Raphinha has been mentioned as well. Nico Williams, at Athletic Bilbao, is another player that they're continuing to monitor. It will be interesting. Pedro Neto will be a very difficult one to get because of the competition that there will be to actually sign him.

"But Tottenham have signed a couple of players recently, that they've done well to get through the door, and they will believe that anything is possible."

There is also the small matter of Werner, and what the future could hold for Tottenham's in-form winter window signing.

The German has bagged two goals and two assists over some impressive performances since joining on loan from RB Leipzig, and the deal is thought to include a £15 million option to buy him outright in the summer.

Speaking to GMS again, reporter Jones has once again commented on Tottenham's transfer plans – and he says Spurs signing Werner would be a "steal".

“It’s hard to see any other decision other than for Werner to remain at Spurs after this season," said Jones.

"His option is £15m, and that’s a steal when you consider the quality and experience he can bring to the squad. If Spurs qualify for the Champions League, they will need a few heads in that team who know what it takes to manage games and situations. Werner has played over 40 games at that level. When you think that Spurs will need to balance out the squad more next season by playing domestically and in Europe and that you can have a player like this for just £15m, it feels like a no-brainer.”

In a match shortened to 40-overs a side, Tamil Nadu beat Gujarat by five wickets in a nervy encounter in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019-20 semi-final, to set up a title clash against Karnataka.Chasing 178 for victory, Tamil Nadu were 96 for 5 but Shahrukh Khan’s 56* off 46 balls saw them pull through with an over to spare, enthralling the handful of neutral fans who turned up at the Just Cricket Academy Ground on the outskirts of Bengaluru.Both teams had star-studded line-ups. R Ashwin, fresh off India’s Test series win over South Africa, flew in on Tuesday to join the Tamil Nadu squad for the semi-final. He had M Vijay, Washington Sundar, Abhinav Mukund and captain Dinesh Karthik in his side. Gujarat, too, had their share of India cap-holders, with Axar Patel and Piyush Chawla being led by Parthiv Patel. Gujarat needed a win, while Tamil Nadu needed anything but a defeat. A brief partnership of 45 between No. 3 Bhargav Merai (20) and No. 4 Dhruv Raval (40) then followed, which helped Gujarat negate the early damage done by the Tamil Nadu spinners, but a middle-order collapse once again handed Tamil Nadu the advantage.M Mohammed was the wrecker-in-chief during the middle overs. After Merai fell to T Natarajan, Mohammed struck off his first delivery to dismiss Raval when he edged a drive to the slip cordon. In the same spell, Manpreet Juneja (12) and Karan Patel (4) fell victim to Mohammed’s nippy deliveries. By the time Karan was out in the 21st over, Gujarat were tottering at 102 for 6.The handful of spectators kept switching their support from one team to the other, almost as if one moment they wanted nothing more than to see a heavyweight clash between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in the final, but the next they realised they’d much rather see a proper contest right now than sometime in the future and began screaming for Axar Patel to push Gujarat towards a respectable total.In Chawla’s company, Axar added 23 for the seventh wicket. The eighth-wicket stand with Roosh Kalaria lasted only six balls, but in No. 10 Chintan Gaja, Axar found someone with whom he could bat out the full 40 overs. Together they made 26 runs but Axar perished for 37 trying to clear the long-on boundary. Gujarat’s tenth-wicket partnership still had 3.2 overs to bat, and with Gaja leading the way, they added 18 more to finish on 177 for 9.Tamil Nadu’s chase began poorly, with Vijay chopping Gaja onto his stumps for 3. Axar and Kalaria bowled a tight spell with the new ball, allowing Tamil Nadu to score only 25 runs in the first eight overs. The experienced duo motored along in a 45-run third-wicket stand to bring the game into the balance, as Abhinav held up one end and Karthik took on the boundary riders. But the wickets of both set batsmen, on either side of Vijay Shankar’s dismissal, gave Gujarat the look-in they needed. With 15 overs to go on a surface that was two-paced all day, Tamil Nadu, with two new batsmen at the crease, needed 81 to qualify for the final.By now, Tamil Nadu had slipped behind the VJD par and some nervous moments followed as the skies turned dark once again. But there was no inclement weather. Instead, there was a storm from Shahrukh’s bat.With his partner Washington nudging the ball around for singles (twos were difficult because of the ground’s dimensions), Shahrukh took on the other Gujarat bowlers, first slapping Kalaria to point for four before depositing Chawla’s googly over long-on. That brought the crowd – by now, prepared for a Tamil Nadu defeat – back to life, with the batting team needing 27 off 24 balls. Over the next two overs, Shahrukh guided Axar to the third-man boundary and followed it with a flat-batted six off Kalaria over long-off to bring the equation to 11 off the final two overs.In the penultimate over, Washington thumped a four off the first ball, after which Shahrukh drilled a full toss over long-off to seal Tamil Nadu’s win. Such was the fervour during the final stages of the chase that Shahrukh didn’t even acknowledge his half-century till the end of the game.The result means that Tamil Nadu have reached a domestic final for the first time since 2016/2017.
